Sharp learned to play the clarinet, piano and cello at the Hochstein School of Music in Rochester. Her enthusiasm for school theatre was the reason she applied to The Boston Conservatory, where she was awarded a scholarship. Cum Laude, where she received a B.F.A. in the Conservatory, Sharp set her sights on the stage. Sharp played in the Broadway National Tour of Carousel. Sharp performed Abyssinia as well as Aida in the theatre as well. Sharp's work is not limited to screen or stage. She has also written and co-written several projects. Apart from performing, she is currently developing an album. Sharp loves exercising. She is active by training in boxing, learning Krav Maga, and taking long roadtrips. Sharp resides with her family, including her husband living in Los Angeles.
