Andrea Jeremiah
Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian performer and actress, is best known for her work in Tamil as well as Malayalam films. She made her acting debut in the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam as well as her Malayalam debut with Annayum's Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah was born in an Anglo-Indian family in Arakkonam In Tamil Nadu.Andrea's dad is an attorney working at the Madras High Court. She is the younger cousin of an assistant researcher who lives in Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah grew up in the vicinity of Chennai, went to National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea was able to begin studying piano when she was eight. Andrea was a huge fan of geeks and wanted to be a psychiatrist. When she was 10, she was in a Jackson Five-style group known as Young Stars which formed the foundation of her musical and singing career. At her school, she was performing as a theatre artist. She was also in numerous stage productions organised by The Madras Players. Andrea was also the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea's theatre career began with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. She was featured in the 2006 tea commercial featuring Shiva. She also starred in a TV serial that was aired on Podhigai. She has performed across India. She was briefly featured in Kanda Mudhal's film's climax (2005). She performed a number of songs for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. He wanted her to be one of his female leads in Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film was an adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed. The film features Andrea as Kalyani a homemaker whose husband engages in an affair and then is targeted by a blackmailer. Andrea was chosen to play Kalyani after Simran Shobana Tabu as well as other actors were invited to audition. It was released early in the year 2010. In the beginning of 2010, she was cast in a minor role for Venkat's Mankatha in 2011, which included a host of actors. In 2013 she began her career in Malayalam cinema with Rajeev Ravi's romantic film Annayum Rasoolum.
